How to fix Error 1, 3, and 4 on magicJack?

“Error 1”

If you’re struggling with error 1 while trying to place a call with your magicJack, it means you are not linked to the internet.To fix this, ensure that one end of the ethernet cable is plugged into your router or modem switch and the other end into your magicJack.You also need to ensure that your modem, router switch is turned on and that the port you have linked the magicJack to is functioning accurately.

“Error 3”

On your softphone, kindly follow these steps:

  1. Click “Menu” on the top right-hand corner
  2. Click “Advanced Users”
  3. Click “Restart”

If your magicJack is plugged into your router or modem, you need to unplug it from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

  3. Type ipconfig > now press ENTER

  6. Now type in the default gateway IP (Example: 192.168.1.1)
  7. Type in appropriate credentials into your magicJack Account

Look for “Port Forwarding” and Forward Port 49152-65535 UDP for the IP address you located before.

“Error 4”

  3. Click on restart

If your magicJack is plugged into your router or modem, unplug it from the power source for approx. 30 seconds and then plug it back again.

  3. Make a right click on your active Internet connection
  4. Do selection of Properties
  5. Scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

  8. In Preferred DNS Server type in 67.90.152.122
  9. In Alternate DNS Server type in 67.107.71.186
